MAKIE Announces New Album Constellations — A Heartfelt Vinyl Project Dedicated to Her Late Father
Atlanta, GA — Singer-songwriter MAKIE announces the release of her forthcoming album, Constellations, an eight-song vinyl project dedicated to her late father—a true horseman, countryman, and guiding force in her life. Rooted in love, memory, and the quiet threads that connect generations, Constellations is a deeply personal body of work that honors faith, family, and the stories that shape who we become.
The album will roll out throughout 2026, beginning with a Valentine’s Day release of the lead single, “Will You Love Me When,” a duet with Grammy-nominated, #1 charting artist Shawn Mullins (“Lullaby,” “Shimmer”). Six additional singles will follow ahead of the full vinyl release in Fall 2026.
Recorded at Real to Reel Studios in Atlanta, Constellations is produced by Brian Collins (CMA artist & singer-songwriter) and Will Turpin (Collective Soul) of Real People Music. Sonically, the album blends Americana, Indie Folk, and Country with a vintage soul—intimate, cinematic, and emotionally resonant.

Raised on her family’s horse farm in Minnesota, MAKIE eventually made her way to the Deep South by way of singing and dancing across the U.S.—from NYC to L.A.—and internationally. Growing up listening to her aunt sing background vocals for Anne Murray, and watching her parents harmonize as wedding singers, music became her natural language early on.
A small-town, country girl at heart with a storyteller’s instinct, MAKIE transforms vulnerability into strength, pouring raw emotion into every note. Her sound has drawn comparisons to Lucinda Williams, Jewel, Jenny Lewis, and Kacey Musgraves.
Beyond music, MAKIE’s work has appeared in Film & TV soundtracks, reflecting her cinematic songwriting style. She is also a strong, versatile actress with credits Off-Broadway and in Film & TV. Most recently, she debuted her original song “Good Old Fashioned Christmas” at the Chick-fil-A Headquarters Christmas devotional, performing alongside CEO and founding family members Bubba and Cindy Cathy.
MAKIE is currently scheduling her 2027 Constellations tour, while continuing to perform locally in the Atlanta area.
